The theme was already stored as a gitlink to the upstream Pickles commit, but the repository omitted .gitmodules. Fresh clones therefore could not initialize it and local checkouts could mistake the path for another blog clone. This records the upstream source explicitly.

Validation: fresh git submodule update --init --checkout resolved commit 7836542; Hugo 0.166 built 19 pages and the post output successfully.
